Competition Regulations
12. General Rules
12.1 Athletes must be in good physical condition to compete in their registered event and must comply with all competition rules.
12.2 Injured athletes will receive basic first-aid from the organizing committee only.
12.3 Athletes may not claim any damages for injury or loss of life before, during, or after the competition.
12.4 All athletes must be willing to present identification to the organizing committee and consent to being photographed or filmed for the event record, which shall be the right of the organizing committee.
12.5 The organizing committee may cancel all or any part of the competition due to force majeure or any other circumstance.
12.6 The organizing committee (chief referee) has authority to disqualify an athlete if it is deemed that the athlete may be in danger.
12.7 Race cut-off times per World Aquatics Open Water Swimming Rules Article 5.17:
12.7.1 For elite athletes: 15 minutes after the first finisher of each age group in the 5 km race.
12.7.2 For elite athletes: 30 minutes after the first finisher of each age group in the 10 km race.
12.7.3 For open/general participants: 25 minutes after the first finisher for 5 km, and 45 minutes for 10 km. Athletes who do not complete the course within the cut-off time must exit the water immediately.
12.8 The organizing committee reserves the right to stop the race 15 minutes after the first finisher in the 3 km and 1 km events.
12.9 Athletes in Groups 3–4 and open category using a Swim Secure tow float must finish with the float intact; otherwise the result will be void.
12.10 If an athlete wears a timing chip for the wrong distance, the result for that distance will not be counted and will be void.
12.11 If an athlete loses a timing chip, they must contact the race office immediately and pay the replacement fee.
13. Protests
13.1 Only officially appointed team managers or coaches registered in the association system may lodge a protest.
13.2 Protests against results must be submitted to the chief referee with a deposit of 10,000 THB within 30 minutes of the official result announcement.
13.3 If the protest is upheld, the deposit will be returned. If the protest is dismissed, the deposit will be forfeited.
13.4 Protests regarding athlete eligibility must be resolved at the team managers' meeting only.
14. Safety & Health
14.1 Security personnel, public health officers, and ambulances will be on duty throughout the competition.
14.2 Basic first-aid will be provided for injuries or fatalities during the event. The organizing committee assumes no liability.
14.3 The organizing committee is not responsible for any loss of property by athletes, coaches, or officials.
14.4 Athletes under 18 years old must have a signed parental consent form.
14.5 Athletes 18 years and older must sign a personal consent form.
15. Disputes
Any dispute arising from the competition or these regulations shall be decided by the referee panel, and their decision shall be final.
